Channel View Medical Group in Teignmouth is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person with great people skills to join our friendly Practice. We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and approachable individual who will complement our team. The individual must be a team player, have excellent communication skills, good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure when dealing with patients face to face and on the phones. We are looking to recruit someone who has worked in a similar role working in IT.
Main duties of the job
The role will be split between IT and Operational support which means you would be responsible for taking the lead in all aspects of IT across the Practice with the support from the Operations Manager, IT user management, implementing new software and supporting patients in online records access. Administrative support with clinical templates, and protocol development. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of IT problem solving and liaising with Torbay and South Devon Healthcare Trust who support all aspects of IT. Alongside this role you will support the Operations Manager in the daily running of the surgery when time allows.

We are an innovative, hard-working, and friendly Practice that prides itself on creating a supportive environment for the whole team. Our Group consists of 14 GP’s, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners and a total of 75 staff across clinical and administrative teams. At Channel View the GP’s and ANP’s use the Doctor First approach, with initial telephone triage and management of their own face to face appointments.

The right candidate will deliver a high standard of service to all patients, visitors, and colleagues in accessing the appropriate services in a professional, courteous, efficient, and effective way over the telephone and face to face.
Responsibilities:
– Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
– Schedule appointments and manage the appointment system efficiently
– Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries in a professional and courteous manner
– Collect patient information and update electronic medical records accurately
– Maintain organisation of the reception area and waiting room

Starting rate £11.60 – Rising to £11.80 after 12 months service.
6 Months’ probation period.
